Historical club stats

Bruce Campbell recently brought to our attention a website someone used to upkeep for the club stats from 1945/46 up until the 2007/08 season.

Update:- A little birdy tells me Alan Helmore developed this site originally. Raymond Poole is a little birdy.

The website allows you to look up any player of that era by their surname, take a look at their career summary and how they performed each season or in each grade.

You can also look up the most games played, runs scored and wickets taken in the club’s history up until that point. Of note:

Games played

  • Leigh Thornton 446 games
  • Stewart Homer 401 (c’mon Stew, play a few games in the one-dayers and get the record)
  • Chris Leopold 259
  • Current players Phillip James (231), Wayne Chamra (228), Bruce Campbell (215), Wayne Buttigieg (212) and Alf Micallef (206)

Runs scored

  • Leigh Thornton 8134 runs
  • Bruce Campbell 5573
  • Neville Taylor 5236
  • Stewart Homer 5174
  • Vic Kyte 4740
  • Current players Wayne Chamra (4240), George Salerno (3436), Alf Micallef (2640) and Phillip James (2621)

Wickets taken

  • Robert Rowley 641 wickets
  • Raymond Vimba 459
  • Leigh Thornton 456
