In partnership with Coburg Districts Football Club, our club recently received a $40,000 grant from Moreland City Council and a $4,000 grant from Cricket Victoria and Cricket Australia to extend and refurbish our clubrooms (total cost ~$80,000). The photo above shows Moreland Mayor Cr Lambros Tapinos with CDFC President Allan ‘Cat’ Chandler and SACC Vice President Jon ‘Blinky’ King.
The extension will shift the front wall out to the end of the concrete with a more welcoming front facade and an additional awning out from there. Inside we’ll get new carpets, kitchen fittings and an air conditioner! The works will be done in the first half of our season but will be planned so not to cut into our space/activities too much.
Personally I can’t wait to hold our presentation night in our own clubrooms.
