The club where everyone is welcome, has fun and plays their best cricket

Our club mourns Emanuel D’Angelo

On behalf of the St Andrews Cricket Club Pascoe Vale I would like to pass on our deepest condolences to the D’Angelo family on the loss of their beautiful son Emanuel.

Emanuel had only been involved at our Club for a short period but his friendship with many of our members has been over numerous years. Emanuel’s character was such that anyone who met him would not forget him and his friendly, caring and outgoing nature made him very popular within his large group of friends.

As was typical of his giving nature both Emanuel and Alex Hamilton volunteered to help Sam run our Milo in2CRICKET program in 2016. The two were much loved in the group and had an impact on the children that will last a long time.

The tragic events of this weekend are devastating, particularly for his family and close friends, but I would like to say that I am very proud of the way everybody came together on Saturday in such a supportive and respectful way.

A GoFundMe campaign has been established in Emanuel’s honour to help the family with funeral and other expenses so if anyone wishes to donate you can by going to the site at:

To our members and committee who helped on Saturday under trying conditions I thank you for your understanding and support. To the VTCA, in particular Steve, Josie and Deanne I thank you for your support and good wishes.

I cannot emphasise enough how important it is to be careful over this Christmas break, look after your friends and family and take the time to spend some quality time together. For anyone who is travelling please do so safely so many more Christmases can be celebrated.

To all the families, supporters, members and friends of St Andrews Cricket Club Pascoe Vale enjoy the break and see you in the new year.

Best Wishes,
Denis Ryan
